2011 in Review

Many, many, many wonderful and long-awaited events happened in 2011, and since there were so many and they are all so close to our hearts, I thought it would be easiest and most enjoyable to just show you!

Marielle loved working at The Flower Basket Boutique

and made lots of floral arrangements,

while McKay flew planes,

instructed cadets in flying gliders,

and served as squadron commander.

We celebrated birthdays,

baked pretty cakes,

and participated in crafts and family home evenings mostly dedicated to getting ready for our wedding.

But first McKay had to graduate from the Air Force Academy,

which was a blast!

We got married three short days later,

officially making me a military wife, 

then left on our honeymoon, first to Ogden canyon,

then to Thailand

and Cambodia.

 

A highlight of our trip was becoming scuba certified!

After 60 days of play we returned back to reality, found an apartment and started nesting.

Marielle spent her time decorating,

playing harp,

cooking,

and nannying.

McKay tagged along sometimes 

but mostly studied, played racquetball

and did man crafts.

We went out to sushi too many times to count

and had way too much fun doing so.

Star Wars for Halloween;

turducken for Thanksgiving;

and concerts, presents and pudding for Christmas.

Oh! And another wedding to close out the year!

Congratulations Nelson and Rosalia!
